
ABSA Currie Cup Desktop Connect is a completely FREE desktop application that streams all the latest Currie Cup news straight through to your desktop.
News is pulled from all rugby sources on the web.
The application can be opened or closed at anytime and can be re-set via the options tab within the application.
Once the application has been downloaded, one of the mascots will appear and present you with the application.
The mascots will then reappear depending on how you have set up your options tab within the application.
To bring the mascosts out again, right click on the ABSA icon in your systems tray on a PC or doc on a Mac and select “showtime”.
PC
To close the application simply right click on the ABSA icon (in your system tray) and select 'Exit' and the application will close.

MAC
To close the application on your desktop, hold down the cursor on the icon (in your doc) and choose 'Quit' and the application will close.
Your mascot will appear to present the latest currie cup news and will then disappear. How often your mascot returns is dependant on how you set your options.
For example if you set your options for your mascot to present the news every 5 minutes, it will appear on your screen every 5 minutes.
Computer specifications
To use ABSA Currie Cup Desktop Connect and enable your mascot to walk out onto your screen, your computer needs to be able to run the latest version of Adobe AIR, for which Adobe provides versions for Windows, Macintosh and Linux.
